Observation of Vascular Tissue of Opuntia.dillenii Haw Stem

Abstract
Vascular tissue of Opuntia.dillenii Haw was dissected by freehand section and disaggregation.It was observed that the vascular tissue was circular cylinder and reticular distribution and belonged to the external phloem and eustele.On the cross section,vascular bundle was found to be apart from each other in different distance and organized in circular in cortex.The vascular was made up of xylem and phloem and cambium was located between them.The cells in radial arrangement originated from cambium were also observed clearly.
