Abstract
Map projection is the core of the mathematics foundation in GIS. The problem how to draw three-dimensional entities in spherical surface to two-dimensional plane is solved. Firstly, the concepts and transformation ways of map projection are presented. Fur- thermore, for mutual transformations between map projections, a map projection extension model is realized, which improves the ex- tendibility of projection component and satisfies the need that users extend map projection.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
