Abstract
Based on the principle and method of water function regionalization,11 major lakes in Jiangsu Province, including Hongze Lake,Taihu Lake,Luoma Lake,Baima Lake,Gaoyou Lake,Baoying Lake,Shaobo Lake,Gehu Lake,Changdang Lake, Shijiu Lake, and Gucheng Lake, were divided into 23 water function areas,of which there were 13 protection areas,5 drinking water source areas,4 fishing areas, and 1 scenic and entertainment area, and water quality evaluation and analysis of each water function area was performed. Some management measures for water function regions were proposed, such as implementation of total amount control of pollutant receiving, arrangement of discharge outlets, water quality monitoring and improvement, etc.
