Abstract
Ultrasonic motor is a new kind of driver that is fit for the need of space navigation.Its characteristic is short of the systemic research under abnormal condition.Consequently,two kinds of engineering plastics are selected as rotor friction material of traveling wave ultrasonic motor.Effects of degree of vacuum,temperature and pre-load on driving properties of the ultrasonic motor were researched by using vacuum tester and suitable simulative tester of the ultrasonic motor in discontinuous and continuous forms.It is showed that speed of ultrasonic motor decreases with increase of temperature and vacuum degree and stalling torque of ultrasonic motor rises while vacuum degree increases.The variations of driving characteristic of the ultrasonic motor were analyzed under abnormal condition.It was indicated that ultrasonic motor can normally run in especial situation such as vacuum and high temperature.It can provide a reference for application of ultrasonic motor in space navigation.
