Abstract
Objective:To observe therapeutic effect of dysphagia due to pseudobulbar palsy treated by acupuncture or muscle of tongue functional training.Methods:Ninety-four cases were randomly divided into acupuncture group(n=48) and control group(n=46).The acupuncture group were treated by body acupuncture and scalp acupuncture,and the control group were treated by muscle of tongue functional training.Results: The clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated by WATIAN'S water drinking test of pre-therapy and post-therapy dysphagia.The results showed that the effective rate of acupuncture group reached 89.6% after two treatment courses,and the control group merely reached 43.9%.There were very significant differences between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion: The action of needling the points of neck-throat section and scalp acupuncture section were inter-promotion.The acupuncture therapy could effectively increase the therapeutic effect of dysphagia due to pseudobulbar palsy,and improve patient's quality of life.Author's
