On the Historical Contribution of Deng Xiaoping to Chinese Marxism

In the historical course of Chinese Marxism,Deng Xiaoping participated in establishing,inheriting and developing the first theoretical achievement of Chinese Marxism.After the period of Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping combined the basic principle of Marxism with the national reality and international characteristics at that time while constructing Chinese socialism,and creatively answered such new themes of Chinese Marxism as what is socialism and how to construct socialism.He realized the second historical leap of Chinese Marxism and established Deng Xiaoping Theory——the second theoretical achievement of Chinese Marxism.He has laid the ideological and theoretical foundation for the formation of the third theoretical achievement of Chinese Marxism.Thus,Deng Xiaoping played a vital role in connecting the past with the future in the course of Chinese Marxism.
