Abstract
Traditional Turbo codes have two recursive systematic convolutional codes(RSC),so they are two-dimensional coding mode.Though Turbo codes have good performance in error correction,the long decoding delay is not good for hardware realization.This paper brings forward a new type of Turbo code—a three-dimensional Turbo code,which has three recursive systematic convolutional codes.The simulation result shows that the performance of traditional Turbo codes in error-correction is better than this new Turbo code,but the new Turbo code converges more rapidly,reducing the decoding delay considerably.
