Abstract
The paper introduces the application technology of network simulation.According to the characteristics of a network modeling and simulation software-OPNET,the simulation steps is elaborated,which including collecting and analyzing information about the network engineering design,preliminary network planning and design based on experience and calculation,establishing the object and network model,as well as network traffic modeling,simulation design and operation,construction and inspection.Practice of campus network design and planning is simulated,and its application has certain guiding significance and reference value.
