Abstract

Using one summer squash hybrid cultivar,Shuofeng zaoyu,as material and the silverleaf symptom induced by silverleaf whitefly(SLM),physiological, biochemical and volatile components in the healthy and silvered leaves of summer squash(Cucurbita pepo L.) were studied. The results showed that the content of the soluble protein and the soluble sugar in the silvered leaves induced by SLW was lower than the content in the healthy leaves. The content of the free amino acid and free proline in the silvered leaves was higher than the healthy ones. The most components measured in the healthy and silvered leaves were alcohols, esters, hydrocarbons, heterocycles, and little other components.Eighteen peaks were detected in the healthy leaves and 24 peaks were detected in the silvered leaves.Nine peaks of them were the same.More materials with less quantity were detected in the silvered leaves and the ratio of every component changed. The metabolism of silvered leaves was disordered. The volatile components of silvered leaves changed.
