Abstract
Based on two important hydrologic characteristic factors as runoff depth and peak discharge modulus in the process of single rainstorm events,the paper put forward the concept of runoff erosion power which could effectively describe the dynamics erosion on hillslope.According to the historically observed data of runoff and sediment under single rainstorm events from Tuanshangou runoff plots with different spatial scales,the correlation of runoff erosion power and sediment transport modulus on runoff plots was systematically analyzed.The results showed that runoff erosion power has an extremely significant exponential relation with erosion modulus of single rainstorm events on hillslope.The runoff erosion power can be a better token of the storm erosion power.The results can provide a certain reference for determination of erosion dynamic factor on slope in loess plateau.
