Research of Differentiation Basis for Phlegm and Blood Stasis Intermingling Syndrome of Ming and Qing Dynasties Based on Factors Analysis

Objective: To discuss the phlegm and blood stasis intermingling syndrome rule in Ming and Qing dynasties.Methods: Collection of medical cases diagnosed as phlegm and blood stasis intermingling syndrome was made for analysis of symptoms using factor analysis.Results: The accompanying syndromes can be grouped into five categories,such as phlegm and blood stasis intermingling and fire evil accumulating in skin;phlegm and blood stasis obstructing lung with heat accumulation;phlegm and blood stasis obstructing stomach and spleen failing to transport;liver Qi depression and phlegm and blood stasis obstructing collaterals;heart fire hyperactivity and phlegm and blood stasis obstruction.Conclusion: The method of factor analysis revealed the differentiation law of phlegm and blood stasis intermingling syndrome.To a certain extent,it has very good application in the research on TCM syndromes.
