Abstract

Steel slag and blast-furnace slag are separately ground by horomill to powder with specific surface area of 450 m2/ kg,500 m2/ kg,and used those powder ground in that way to substitute for some cement clinker. For the addition of single steel slag and mixture of steel slag with blast-furnace slag,we studied their powder activity and mortar strength of concrete. Experiments showed that in the process of adding single steel slag, mortar strength of concrete fell with the increasing of the replacement of cement clinker. When replacing 50% cement clinker powder with mixture of steel slag and blast-furnace slag, steel slag and blast-furnace slag can promote priming and hydration action with each other. When the proportion of steel slag in compound powder was 20%,mortar strength of concrete were comparatively better. And the results have important value of Engineering application.
