Brief Study on Zhang Lei's Poetic Thoughts

Zhang Lei's poetic thinking is very broad.Based on poetry ontology,he attached importance to the poetry's nature of expressing feelings;for poet cultivation,he combined moral culture presented by Confucianism with detachment from life by Taoism;at the same time,he also expressed his opinions on many poets before him.Overall,the thinking of poetics had their targets and important theoretical value.The thoughts should have their place in the latter part of the poetics of North Song Dynasty and should deserve full attention.
