Lao Tzu's Ecological Wisdom and Its Modern Value

Abstract

Lao Tzu's ecological concept is based on the philosophy of the organic theory of the Taoism and on the principle of the ecological philosophy of Honoring Tao and and Natural Nonaction ,which bears the points of view of the equality of Oneness of Subjectivity and Objectivity,the harmony of Human Beings and Nature and the balance of the Loss and Gain in dealing with the relationship between human beings and the nature.In self-requirements,Lao Tzu puts forward the ecological norms,including how to keep oneself under the humble view of modest,how to keep the frugal moderated view,and how to keep the peaceful and quiet concept.Lao-Tzu's ecological wisdom has enlightened human beings in eliminating the ecological crisis from the aspects of universe,nature,value,consumption notion and etc..
