Abstract
The construction of the virtual teaching experiment system of aero-engine is an attempt to integrate VR technology with classroom experiments,it is a simulation experiment system consisting of virtual assembly and disassembly, model teaching experiment, dynamic display of flow field and test-drive of engine. In this paper, key technologies of aero-engine virtual assembly and the way to realize the virtual assembly system were analyzed and studied, including the operation of virtual hand based on data glove,real-time collision detection, planning of assembly route and sequence, etc. An instance of virtual assembly operation utilizing the aero-engine virtual assembly system was demonstrated, and the advantage and characteristic were analyzed by comparing the virtual assembly system with traditional assembly in the end.
