Abstract
Hepatic fibrosis occurs in most types of chronic hepatic diseases. Our knowledge of the mechanisms of im- mune hepatic fibrosis has greatly advanced, the potential importance of hepatic macrophages in hepatic fibrosis has been underscored. This review summarizes recent progress in the study of the pathogenesis of immune hepatic fibro- sis, especially the effect of hepatic macrophages in the hepatic fibrosis and discusses current antifibrotic strategies.
