Analysis of High-cited Papers Published in China Cancer During 2001-2010

Objective To evaluate the academic level and development direction and the quality of China Cancer by high-cited papers.Methods Cited paper published in China Cancer from 2006 to 2010 in Chinese Citation Database were analyzed,and the high-cited papers were confirmed by Price law.The major indexes included cited frequency,distribution of authors,cooperation of authors and the major topics of high-cited papers.Results There were 833 cited papers of China Cancer from 2006 to 2010,with total cited frequency 3 222,average cited frequency of an article 3.9,and the top cited frequency was 109.There were 85 high-cited papers,counted for 10.2% of all papers.The total cited frequency of high-cited papers was 1328,counted for 41.2 % of all papers.Cooperation degree and cooperation rate of authors of high-cited papers was 4.8 and 92.9%,respectively.The major research fields of authors of high-cited papers were cancer prevention and control,and the authors were mainly distributed in Beijing,Zhejiang,Guangdong,Jiangsu,Shanghai,Fujian,etc.Conclusion China Cancer plays an important role in cancer prevention and control in China.Analysis of high-cited papers can provide reference for the further development of the journal.
