Abstract

Objective To study multi-nodule accumulation sign of CT and it′s diagnostic values of peripherial lesion of lung. Methods 124 cases of benign and malignancy peripherial lesion of lung were analyzed. There were 88 cases of peripheral lung cancer and 36 cases of benign lesion. All lesions were 1~6cm in diameter. CT scan was performed on all cases and additional 2~5mm thin slice scans were made in focus range. Enhanced CT scan was performed in 8 cases and HRCT in 10 cases. Results Multi-nodule accumulation sign was found in 29 cases of malignant lesion and 3 cases in benign lesion. CT signs usually showed petal shape (2 cm in diameter)or mullerry and calabash shape(2 cm in diameter). Conclusion Multi-nodule accumulation sign is valuable for the diagnosis of pulmonary malignant tumor.
