Abstract
The Speech in the Forum on Art and Literature Held at Yan'an is Chairman Mao Zedong's exposition of works of art and literature at a particular period time in the Chinese history.However,Zhao Shuli failed to figure out its implied meaning and therefore came up with an opinion-writing for the peasants,which is in fact opposite to the Chairman Mao's thoughts-Art and literature must sever for the peasants. This paper aims to clarify the discrepancy between these two seemingly identical thoughts.
