Abstract
Recently, great ruins are faced with the threat of damage or potential damage, the protection and utilization of the ruins encounters difficulties. Ruin Park must become a new platform for the urban ruins’ protection and display. This paper firstly researches on the urban ruins’ status, which is followed by concept and effect of ruin park, sums up the three types of ruin park. Through research of Da Ming Palace Ruins Park Conceptual Design, it proposes three design principles, the strict protection, the identifiable characteristic and the restoration, and it concludes the specific application of the model of Ruins Park in practice.
