A Study of Thoughts of Government Relief in Ancient China

Based on the people-oriented thoughts,ancient China always had a good tradition of government relief,and formed comparatively systematic thoughts of it.These thoughts involved such aspects as disaster relief and special relief with rather strict official management,supervision system and procedures.Although the thoughts of government relief in ancient China had some historical limitations and defects,they really played an important role in maintaining the political stability,social tranquility and above all,they had value in the establishment and perfection of the relief system for the government today.
