Abstract
The Gechougou bridge is sifuated in the new railway from Hongliulin to Shenmuxi. The main bridge is a steel tube concrete tied-bar arch bridge whose span is 136 meters. For its structural characteristics,we use the finite element analysis program MIDAS to carry on a simulation analysis of the force. The results show that the structural strength, stiffness and stability can meet the specific requirements under the live load and the dead load, and the safety of the structural design is verified. The vibration characteristics and the buckling analysis have shown that the lateral rigidity is weaker than the vertical rigidity of the bridge. These results are valuable for the design, construction, monitoring and maintaining.
