Abstract
Problems of short-cut nitrification and denitrification technique in the treatment of wastewater with ammonia nitrogen of high concentration were analyzed.The sequencing batch reactor(SBR) was modified based on its hydraulic characteristics.Taking piggery wastewater as a case,the simultaneous short-cut nitrification and denitrification(SND) condition was provided and the SND in the improved SBR was realized.Comparing with the usual SBR,the pH value of the new system dropped more slowly and the denitrification efficiency was improved.39% of the nitrite and 38% of the nitrate were removed respectively.
