Abstract
Objective To investigate the coincidence rate between human serum epididymis protein 4(HE4),glycoprotein antigen 125(CA125) levels and the pathologic results in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, and explore the sensitivity and specificity of HE4 and CA125 in ovarian cancer diagnosis. Methods According to biopsy results,150 cases was divided into ovarian cancer group(50 cases),benign ovarian lesions group(50 cases) and healthy women group(50 cases). The serum HE4 and CA125 concentrations of all cases were detected by chemiluminescenceimmunoassay. Results In the process of malignant ovarian lesions, pathology was the diagnostic method. The sensitivity and specificity of CA125 for ovarian cancer were 57% and 68%,and that of HE4 were 94% and 96%.Conclusion HE4 is high expressed in ovarian cancer patients and has nice coincidence rate with pathologic results.However,CA125 gets low sensitivity and specificity, and has low coincidence rate with pathological results. In addition,CA125 may make misdiagnosis for early ovarian cancer patients.HE4 is a better marker for ovarian cancer than CA125.
