Abstract
A field experiment of rice was conducted to investigate the effects of different Si application methods( soil application or foliar spray) on the content and bioconcentration of cadmium in different parts of rice growing in the cadmium contaminated soil, which total Cd content was 5. 78 mg·kg- 1. The results showed that the soil( 750 kg / hm2) and foliar applications( 0.2 % inorganic silica sol,0. 2 % organic silica sol) of silicon fertilizer increased the yield, and significantly reduced the Cd content and its bioconcentration factors in different parts of rice, among them, the Cd content of brown rice decreased by 49. 04 %,60. 55 % and 49. 04 %,respectively. The effect of silicon fertilizer soil application on rice yield was higher than that of silicon fertilizer spraying, but the effect of silicon fertilizer spraying to reduce the Cd content of brown rice was better than that of silicon fertilizer soil application.
