Abstract

Lots of problems in drilling work have been solved while the technology of reverse circulation continuous sampling(RCCS) with hollow air-driven DTH hammer is used in mineral exploration, water well drilling and some other complex fields. And in oil and gas exploration drilling, the application of the air-driven DTH hammer can raise working efficiency for 5 times more than before in drilling hard formations. In order to solve the problems and defects produced by normal circulation, drilling experts have already started to do researches on reverse circulation drilling technology. The authors discussed how to make hollow air-driven DTH hammer applied in oil and gas exploration drilling, such difficult problems as drilling watery and easy pasting on the aiguille strata, severe leaking and karst strata, drilling blocking and pressure in well.
