Abstract

The incidence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome(OHSS)trends to rise with the wide application of assisted reproduction technique and ovulation induction.However the etiology of OHSS is yet unknown.Then to find the accurate etiology and to undertake effective prevention and treatment as soon as possible become the key points of OHSS at present.In this review,we will explore the role of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and other vascular active molecules in the pathogenesis of OHSS with references to recent papers.
