Abstract

Objective To understand the changes of dietary pattern of Guangxi urban residents from 1992 to 2002,Methods To analyze the status and trends of dietary nutrients intake from the cruising data about nutrition of Guangxi autonomous regions in 2002 and compare to nationwide synchronous level. Results The intakes of major food of the urban residents of Guangxi in 2002 had a bigger change compared with 1992,the main good food intake had improved obviously, such as potatoes, other cereals, vegetables, fruits and milk, but the downtrend of salt and jam was obvious. The intakes of meats increased but the number of shrimps decreased obviously, but higher than the average of nationwide. The intakes of three main nutriment increased, vitamins had a suitable standards,Retinol and riboflavine were lower, the deficiency of Calcium was most norablely. Conclusion The dietary pattern of Guan- gxi urban residents had a obvious progress compared with the number of ten years ago,but the condition is not so optimistic, the deficiency of Calcium is still the most marked problem about nutrition of Guangxi urban residents.
