Abstract

In general, RC oscillator generates oscillating signals by using charge and discharge delay of resistors and capacitors. Therefore, the frequency generated by oscillator is subject to variation of power supply, environment temperature, and electric characteristics of components that make up the oscillator. This paper proposed a high resolution CMOS RC oscillator, which could reduce the above-mentioned effects.Simulation and test results of an actual circuit showed that the proposed CMOS RC oscillator operated at a very stable frequency.
