Abstract
【Objective】To evaluate the clinical significance in evaluating prognosis of the combined determination of serum procalcitionin(PCT) and C reactive protein(CRP) in the diagnosis of bacterial features in intensive care unit of the high elevation area.【Methods】83 patients in Affiliated Hospital Of Qinghai University, from 2008 to 2011 with bacterial infection were enrolled in the studies which were classified into serious infection group and local infection group.Serum PCT and CRP levels and their dynamic change were measured, and the results were analyzed and compared with those non-infection group.【Results】The mean values of PCT and CRP in infection group were statistical significance compared to non-infection group. After the antibiotic treated, the levels of PCT and CRP decreased significantly;the levels of PCT and CRP in serious infection group were statistical significance to local infection group(P 0.001).【Conclusion】The combined determination of PCT and CRP assists the early diagnosis and prognosis of bacterial in neonate,Monitoring and dynamically PCT level will help to evaluate the curative effect.
