Abstract
Combined with practical work the discrimination and classification of expansive soil are introduced.In view of the hazard of expansive soil subgrade corresponding treatment methods are proposed as well as construction methods in order to well deal with this kind of soil to ensure the stability of roadbed and smoothness of pavement in expansive soil region.
