Abstract

IPv6 has more advantages than IPv4 in security.Its advantage is integrating IPSec in IPv6.On the base of introducing the concept of IPv6 protocol,this paper focuses on the study of the key technique to implement VPN——IPSec and its architecture,working mode and related protocols.Finally,it presents the method to implement a VPN based on IPSec in Linux system by using FreeS/WAN software package and modifying Linux kerne1.
