Abstract
Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Diane-35 plus Doxycycline in the treatment of late-onset female patients with Acne Vulgaris. Methods 80 female patients with late-onset Acne Vulgaris were randomly allocated to two groups: a test group(n=41) and a control group(n=39). The patients from the test group orally took Diane-35 once daily on the first day of menses for three weeks and stopped for one week as a complete cycle. Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for four weeks followed by once daily for eight weeks. The patients from the control group orally took Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for four weeks followed by once daily for eight weeks. Results The cure rate in the test group was 73.2% while the control group was 33.3%. The effective rate in the test group was 92.7% while the control group was 58.9%. There were statistical significant differences in above- mentioned two rates between the two groups (P0.05).Conclusion Diane-35 pulse Doxycycline have reliable effectiveness in the treatment of late- onset female patients with Acne Vulgaris.
