Suggestions for the Construction of Public Health Information Platform Based on Medical Information

OBJECTIVE:To promote the establishment of public health information platform based on medical information, which provides health care services for the public. METHODS:The situation and problems of health information services in China were analyzed by analytic research methods,in order to provide suggestion for building a health information platform. RESULTS CONCLUSIONS:The public health information services need to address the following problems. Presently,there is an insufficient amount of health information available,unreliable and inaccurate information and faulty communication of public health information. To build a more effective health information platform,we should pay attention to the following aspects:building leadership, acquiring adequate funding,establishing information sharing mechanisms,information auditing,information content and run protection.
