Abstract

The extraction of strontium with dicyclohexyl- 18- crown- 6 from nitric acid solution was investigated and the influence of the ratios of the extraction phase( O /A),the concentration of DCH18C6,different diluents and the concentration of nitric acid was examined. The best ratios of the extraction phase( O /A),diluents and the concentration of nitric acid conditions were obtained. The results showed thant strontium can be efficiently extracted by DCH18C6dissolved in 1,1,2,2- tetrachloroethane from a nitric acid solution. The extraction percentage of Sr2 +was found to be higher than 90% when the O /A was 1 ∶ 4,the concentration of DCH18C6was 0. 1 mol /L and the concentration of HNO3was 1. 0 mol /L. The extracted Sr2 +can be easily stripped with deionized water. Nearly 100% recovery of Sr2 +was achieved by four times of such stripping.
