The Fictional Model on Love between Human and Fairies in the Han and Tang Periods(206B.C.-907 A.D.)

At the time between Han and Tang (206B.C.-907 A.D.), a great number of novels about love between human and fairies were created, which were of weird imagination and made people wonder. Up till now, some of the works still keep their artistic charm. According to the Confucians, literary works should always carry Tao. As a result, these novels were regarded as weird and did not win the reputation that they deserved. With modern aesthetics, we have to closely review these novels. Based on modern cultural psychology, and starting from the novels' pattern and structure, the author wishes to re-examine the value of the creation of these novels, and their significance beyond the literary meaning. We can overstep the limits of the age and explore the aesthetic characteristics of human nature.
