Abstract
The Yellow River estuary delta area is a frequent occurrence area of storm surge disaster. The study of the formation cause and characteristics of storm surge in the area is the basis for effectively preventing the storm surge disaster. Based on the analysis of the formation cause and characteristics of different storm surges, the measures for preventing the storm surge disaster are proposed.
