Research Progress on Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) Dendrimers

Abstract

Progress in study on the structure properties,methods for preparation,characterization and application of PAMAM in catalysts,metal nanomaterials,nanocomposites,film materials and surface active agents was reviewed.The main method for preparation of PAMAM is the divergent method.in addition the convergent method and the divergent-convergent method are used too.PAMAM maybe used as an extranctant by modification of its end groups with long-chain alkyl.Few papers reported the application of PAMAM as an extractant up to now.So it is important to study the extraction behavior of PAMAM.
