Russia's Recent Agricultural Development

Russia is a traditional agrarian country.However,Russia has been lagged behind other major agrarian countries in term of agricultural development. During the economic crisis in 1990's,Russian agriculture has experienced all-around productivity deduction.In the new century,with the improvement of the country's macroeconomic environment,Russian agriculture has found its way out.Certain agrarian index has seen healthy increases.From a holistic view, Russian agriculture does not hold a high position in the country's economy yet;though from micro perspective,the structure of agricultural bureaus and agrarian productivity has shown significant improvement.Meanwhile,the agrarian area distribution is becoming more and more professional.The future development of Russian agriculture relies highly on the further step of state reform and its potential influence.
