Abstract
The methods for extracting essential oil from the leaves of Cinnamomum edunculatum were studied, and the chemical components were analyzed. The leaves of C. edunculatum were cut to pieces, the essential oil was extracted out by on-water water vapor distillation method. The tests results indicate that the optimal extraction time was 4 hours, the yield of essential oil was 0.4 2 mL/100g. The oil extracted has been analyzed with GC-MS, and results show that there are 57 kinds of chemical materials, of them, the components with highest relative contents of essential oil were Bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol,1,7,7-trimethyl-(18.55%),(-)- limonene(7.68%), bornyl acetate(7.55%), and l- caryophyllene(7.34%).
