Abstract
Spacial distribution patterns of soil moisture on slopes in loess hilly areas were studied by the method of fixed location observation.The results showed that slope degree,slope situation and slope direction were the key factors of the distribution of soil moisture on slope.We got the laws of section change and seasonal change of soil moisture on slope.Through the hierarchical cluster of soil moisture of different stand,we may use condition of topography instead of soil moisture,and the academic bases of soil moisture for establishing the system of defendant forestry were developed.
