Abstract

Marcusai criticizes modern science and technology as a form of control,as the unilateral root cause of the well-developed industrial society and its ideology culture,and as an instrumental reason as well as the ideological foundation of positivism.And it is just on the basis of his criticism of modern science and technology that the ethic of science technology and society has taken shape which focuses on anatomizing the passive social functions of science and technology.Marcusai argues that advances in science and technology in the contemporary era have not only extended to both operating and regulating systems and created forms of existence and rights interests,but also given rise to new class structure.Meanwhile,this technological reason gas resulted in the one-way mode of thinking and permeated the overall structure of our society and every aspect of social life,thus becoming the ideological basis for enslaving and dominating people in every aspect in the well-developed industrial society.
