Proposals on Solving Problems redgarding the Building of the New Countryside——A Report on Social Investigation into the Countryside in the Middle and West of China

The building of the New Countryside is crucial to reaching the goal of a well-off society in an all-round way.On the basis of his 10-year systematic analysis of issues regarding agriculture,countryside and farmers as well as his analysis of on-site inspection materials accumulated about the building of the New Countryside in the middle and west of China over the past two years,the author attempts to make nine proposals on how to solve problems related to the current building of the New Countryside as follows: to establish a fundamental theory for the building of the New Countryside,to set up an organization guarantee mechanism for the building of the New Countryside,to set up a policy guarantee mechanism for the building of the New Countryside,to make a national general blueprint for the building of the New Countryside,to guarantee a safe and stable supply of food for urban and rural people,to improve farmers' existing and living environments,to quicken the step of farmers' getting rich,to found a rural medical care and social security system and to upgrade farmers' overall quality.
