Abstract

Objective To study te diagnosis and treatment of lumber spinal canal stenosis Methods The clinical data of 31 cases with lumbar spinal canal stenosis were analyzed Results 31 cases were all ill with secondary lumbar spinal canal stenosis Among them 29 cases were with retrograde distortion, 23%(7/31)were complicated with cervical, thoracic spinal canal stenosis, 29%(9/31)were complicated with protrusion of intervertebral disc Spinal canal myelography had many advantages Con clusion Spinal canal myelography is a reliable method in the disgnosis of lumbar spinal canal stenosis The cases complicated with cervical, thoracic spinal canal stenosis should be operated on by stages and the key to raise the curative effect is a thorough decompression and to pay more attention to the leteral spinal canal stenosis
