Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of combined surgery of small-incision intraocular lens (IOP) implantation and trabeculectomy for the treatment of cataract with glaucoma. Methods Combined surgery were performed on 56 cases (68 eyes) of cataract with glaucoma, the postoperative visual acuity, intraocular pressure (IOP),filtering bleb and complications were investigated. Results After follow-up for 6-24 months,56 eyes had the best corrected visual acuity0.3 (82.35%),62 eyes (91.18%) had the IOP21 mmHg,6 eyes IOP were about 24 mmHg postoperatively and could be controlled in normal range by 0.5% timolol,50 eyes (72.53%) had the functional filtering bleb. Conclusions Combined surgery of cataract with glaucoma ould control IOP effectively and restore useful vision.
