Abstract

The toxicity of phoxim, aiphacypermethrin, methoxyfenozide and chlorfluazuron to different instar larvae of Spodoptera exigua was tested using the dipping method. Insecticide tolerance of the larvae at the 2~(nd), 3~(rd) and 4~(th) instar stages increased with their development, being lowest in the 2~(nd) instar larvae and rising sharply at and after the 3~(rd) instar stage. The activities of Ache, ACP, ALP,CarE and GST increased with larvae development.
