Abstract
The moment-rotation equation and the modified rotational stiffness of semi-rigidly connected beam element are derived by using a rotation spring stiffness. And the non-shear force distribution method is applied in structural analysis of steel frames with semi-rigid connections. The proposed calculation method is relatively simple and easy and is useful to the engineers in steel structures design.
