A Textual Research on the Rhyming in Li Yi's Poetry

Li Yi, whose 174 poems are in existence at present, was a famous fronties poet of the Mid-Tang Dynasty. A close textual research indicates that rules of rhyming in his poetry whether combing or respective, corresponds with the system of rhyming during the Sui Dynasty to the Mid-Tang Dynasty which was put forward in History of Chinese Phonology by Wang Li. Moreover, some of Li Yi's rhyming examples are the same as that of the late Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties.
