Abstract

Qiandongnan is rich in Miao and Dong ethnic cultures and traditional knowledge. Therefore, the building of ecological civilization has good cultural and environmental foundation, which is mainly reflected in the aspects including dietary habits, folk customs, religious belief, ethnic building, ethnic medicine, traditional agriculture, and arts and crafts. Generally, both Miao and Dong people have the plain idea to protect ecology. Miao and Dong ethnic cultures in Qiandongnan prefecture have been preserved well. However, at the same time, they need to be further tapped and interpreted for the development of tourism economy and ecological agriculture, which is an inevitable way for Qiandongnan prefecture to take for the comprehensive building of ecological civilization.
