Abstract
In this paper, beginning with two-level quasi-geostrophie equations describing the baroclinic Rossby waves and using the bifurcation theory, a simple model of the stability for the baroclinic Rossby waves is set up. We find the linear and nonlinear control parameters and modify some classical conclusions of the stabilities.
